“Host(ess) Monarch”

The charismatic power of nature seduces the viewer into the intimate space of jewellery. Beauty is somehow caught in the middle of life, passion and death.

This piece is made by a complex process where metal is manipulated by stretching and shrinking into the graceful forms of a flower bud. The bud is accompanied by a parasite, feeding on the flower to sustain itself. The flower is sweet, its scent beautiful. As it touches the neck of the user, the symbiotic relationship is simultaneously magical and tragic.
